Just like physical exercise, mental exercise is also important for our journey.
What’s the secret between feeling disempowered and empowered?
It’s quite simple!
It’s the decision. You decide to empower yourself. You decide not to live in fear, knowing you have much more time, and to live in an objective reality that moves you towards a greater sense of psychological and emotional empowerment.
There is medical and scientific evidence today that if you are pleasant and blissful for 24 hours, without a feeling a moment of fear, anxiety, sadness, etc… your sharpness of intellect could go up 100%.
Your body and mind work much better when you are not entangled with difficult situations and are mentally tough. The very blood chemistry of the human body changes when we start to live this way!!
If we look at the majority of the population, people are investing heavy amounts on physical fitness, having a diet chart of food and stuff. We know it’s important too! But mental toughness to physical as four is to one!!
The most important factor why people lost their ability to respond and constantly keep on reacting compulsively when the situation gets tougher and tougher is because they don’t have a mental diet plan.
Do you know our human brain contains approximately one hundred billion neurons. Just like our physical muscles, our brain also has muscles that need to be trained on a daily basis.
Our brain also has a diet plan. We have to feed our minds with good positive things repeatedly. We always heard about yogis, Buddhist monks, sportsperson, entrepreneurs, etc ... one of the most important factors of their success is that they train their brain muscles on a daily basis. They feed their mind with a good diet regularly.
So in times of adversity, challenges, uncertain situation … how we handle ourselves and our surroundings depend upon how much good amount of training and diet we have given to our mind.
But remember! Every master was once a disaster.
We can start to build mental toughness consciously through our thoughts and actions.
Let’s start installing and uninstalling the right and wrong rituals. One of the formulas to achieve mental toughness is – Ask and receive.
Self-questioning is the most important factor of this formula. Almost every great invention and transformation starts from a brilliant question. But the problem is people nowadays don’t question anything! They have lost the ability to stop, question, and analyse. So start questioning. Remember that the deepness of mental toughness builds upon the brilliance of a question.
The ability to continue moving when you are feeling scared, fearful, or lazy is a sign of true mental strength.
